| Lynn Olson
Jerry Trower, Chairperson-Board of Directors, recently announced the appointment of Mr. Lynn Olson as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Hannibal Regional Hospital. Mr. Olson is expected to join the organization on December 5, 2011.
“The selection of Mr. Olson occurred only after a nationwide search and review of approximately 200 candidates,” commented Mr. Trower. “Mr. Olson has more than thirty years of experience working in the healthcare field. His strong background in hospital operations will be of great benefit to Hannibal Regional Hospital and Hannibal Regional Healthcare System in continuing to provide excellent services and resources to the community.”
Mr. Olson has led multiple regional hospitals during his career and has been instrumental in contributing to growth and expansion activities within health systems. He has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial management and a collaborative relationship management approach. Most recently, Mr. Olson served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sanford Regional Hospital Worthington in Worthington, Minnesota.
“Mr. Olson will be joining John Grossmeier, President and Chief Executive Officer – Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, and the rest of the leadership team in continuing to expand healthcare resources to our service area,” stated Mr. Trower. “We look forward to welcoming him and his wife, Rene, to the Hannibal community.”
Mr. Olson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Winona State University, Winona, Minnesota and his Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois. Mr. Olson is also an affiliate of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
