Mar4 3/4/2010 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Bereavement Support Group
James E. Cary Cancer Center (map)
The James E. Cary Cancer Center, in conjunction with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, will be holding a Bereavement Support Group, open to any adult who has experienced the death, due to illness, of someone significant in their life. 
 
The Bereavement Support Group will meet Thursday evenings, March 4 through April 8, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the James E. Cary Cancer Center, 5985 Hospital Drive, in Hannibal.
 
Each session will include handouts to take home.  Topics are each are:
  • Session One, "What is Normal Grief?"
  • Session Two, "Myths to Grief"
  • Session Three, "Feelings of Loss and Cliches of Grief"
  • Session Four, "Handling Holidays and Other Special Occasions"
  • Session Five, "The Six Needs of Mourning"
  • Session Six, "Helping Ourselves Heal"
